Clear lanes program aims to make buses safer, more accessible, and more reliable by mounting cameras on Metro buses.
These cameras will capture video of vehicles that are illegally blocking bus zones and bus lanes. Motorists could receive a $100 ticket for violating the bus zone rules.
Bus zones are areas of no parking 80 ft in front of a bus and 20 ft after it unless the sign says otherwise. Motorists shouldn't stop, stand, or park in a bus zone. This ensures buses can safely access the curb for boarding and de-boarding.
